A Terrier, Lurcher and Family Dog Show was held at the Kennels on Sunday 21st May, judged by Jack Northmore, Hayley Broomfield and Anke Ellis respectively. The sun was shining and entries in all three rings surpassed expectations. The Kennels were open for visitors to see behind the scenes, and afternoon tea, a hog roast and bar were laid on for competitors and spectators to enjoy. Thanks go to Joe Emmett MFH and his team for organising and hosting such a fantastic show, and to all the volunteers who judged, stewarded, photographed, and served refreshments. Congratulations go to Tony Ley, owner of the supreme champion, Brock. Our next Open Day takes place on Saturday 24th June from 3pm, featuring a children’s hound exercise on foot, an introduction to hound judging and hound judging competition, hound sponsorship, a traditional puppy show tea, a licenced bar and BBQ, and an opportunity to buy new South Devon Hunt merchandise and join the South Devon Hunt Supporters Club. Entry is free-of-charge and all are welcome!
