100 riders enjoyed beautiful weather and stunning scenery at the South Devon Hunt’s Fun Ride on Sunday 4th June, by kind permission of Mr Ralph Rayner of Ashcome Estate and Mr Simon Hoare of Luscombe Estate. This was our second of four rides this year, the first having taken place by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Williams of Narracombe Farm in Ilsington on the last day of last season. Thanks and congratulations to Julie Williams, Sara Cartwright and Joe Emmett MFH for masterminding and marking the route. Despite some last minute changes for farming reasons, the grateful smiling riders all commended the team for a thoroughly well organised and clearly marked ride. Thanks also to the wider team of stewards, first aiders, port pourers and caterers, without whom our successful fun rides would simply not be possible. The proceeds of this ride were shared between the South Devon Hunt and the Ashcombe Charities. As ever, Sharon Newman was in attendance to capture the day.
